Within a few days of my birth, I was brought to the beach. Other than for college, I have never left.
I met my husband, Paul, in first grade at Long Beach Catholic School and graduated from Long Beach High School. After graduation from College, I returned to the home in Lido Beach where I was raised. In the fifteenth year of my career at New York Life Insurance Company in Manhattan, the second of my three sons was born. I decided at that time I would find a path that would allow me to stay closer to home.
In my new role at home I used my "free" time to serve in various ways. In order to keep my college classmates connected I serve as one of the Class Chairs for College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. In that role we also solicit for their annual fund and over 55% of my class consistently contributes. I am also the President of the Holy Cross College Alumni Club of Long Island and and have been interviewing Long Island high school seniors for the college for over thirty years.
After I became a Lido Beach homeowner in 1994, I volunteered to serve the community on the Lido Beach Civic Association Inc., first as a board member. Since 2011 I've been the president of the LBCA Inc. In that role I liaise with local government agencies within the Town of Hempstead, Nassau County and the Nassau County Police Department.
In 2017 I was recommended by our County Legislator Denise Ford to be on the Commissioner’s Community Council for the Nassau County Police Department and was sworn in by Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder in April 2018.
As a resident, homeowner and parent I take a keen interest in all issues concerning my community. It is why I am happy to use my first-hand knowledge of this barrier island as a real estate salesperson in the Realty Connect USA Long Beach office.
